Madrugada releases new song HALF-LIGHT, taken from the motion picture AMUNDSEN
Madrugada has written the theme song for the new blockbuster movie Amundsen, which premiers in theatres worldwide from March 13th, 2019. “Half-Light” is the first new song to be released by Madrugada since 2008, available to stream and download now.
When writing history of the Norwegian rock scene, Madrugada stands as fixed to its musical landscape as the mountains of Vesterålen in Northern Norway, the area from which the band originates. In their ten years as a band, Madrugada remained in the upper echelons of Norwegian bands with a significantly influential career both in Norway and abroad. Altogether they received five Norwegian Grammy awards, including “Årets Spellemann” (“Years Best Artist”) and a long string of sales records.
After the announcement that the three remaining original members had reconnected with the goal of playing music together again, it took them less than 48 hours to sell out two 9000 capacity arena shows in Oslo, followed by a string of festival gigs in Norway 2019. This momentum quickly led to long tour year of sold out shows across Europe.
